"Jedes Herz ist eine revolutionäre Zelle!"

First off I have been looking through my cd collection and to my shock and horror some of my albums are missing! This is fucked! I think they got stolen at parties around here or something. Which is equally as fucked. These are the three albums that are missing.

Jurassic 5-Quality Control
Rancid-And Out Came the Wolves
Tsunami Bomb-The Great Escape

Those albums are some good shit as well. I don't know whether to just deal with the fact they are missing or have them replaced or what. Curse the foul album pixies that sneak into room at night to steal my shit…either that or curse my brother, who is well known to be a thief.

In other news I spent a good two days celebrating the end of my exams, which was a fun time. It started on Thursday when I did my last exam, which I am sure I did great on I should add, and the whole politics class went to the pub opposite the railway station to celebrate. And much fun and drinking was to be had by all. I mainly stuck to Guinness the entire time I was there, while my man Tom decided to heroically mix up as many spirits as he could find. It would have been more heroic if he didn’t complain of the taste of the glass of whisky that he had served straight though. What a maroon. I didn’t get too drunk though, which was probably just as well as I had to walk home.

The next day I had to bring back my schoolbooks, seeing as I sure as hell didn’t need them anymore, I had no idea that I had been hoarding so many though. It was a fucking heavy bag that I had to take there. It must have weighed as much as….a lot of books!

Once that foul deed was done I left the school, never to return or see any of it’s teachers ever again….except when I return to try and get a reference for a job. Or when I had to see my English class later that day for a meal to celebrate the fact that we would never see each other again…. at least I think that’s what it was about. I wasn’t quite sure to be honest. The meal was at some Turkish-style place with some great food. I ordered some kind of mixed grill platter, which was pretty tasty.

I had a good time with my English class though Alejandro (or Alex even) still completely bugs the hell out of me, as he spent most of the time being confused by simple concepts, complaining about how he burned the roof of his mouth and being stupid without realising how stupid he was. Perhaps the best example of Alex’s or (is it Alejandro’s) stupidity was when he was talking about how American’s were idiots ignorant of the outside world and instead rely on movies and TV shows. Where did he get such in-depth knowledge of the American psyche? Movies and TV shows of course. What a maroon. Apart from that the people I was with were great and it was a nice way to finish off my school career. Oh, and of course the girls in my English class are hot so that helped a lot.

Since that time I saw the awesome Batman Begins in the cinema and needless to say it was awesome. The way that they show the origins of Batman is logical, thought out and quite interesting, involving him going through his own personal journey before deciding exactly what he wanted to do and how he would do it. Unlike the first Batman it doesn’t screw up by letting him get revenge on his parent’s killer, which removes some of his motivation, and sets up away that he is always unfulfilled. It portrays Batman as the fucking CHIEF, the ultimate bad ass, unlike other film incarnations of him where just doing cool stuff was seen as enough. It’s not just the action that makes a great hero, it’s the attitude and in this Batman is a total bad ass like the types you get in Sin City, and he doesn’t care what happens to the criminal scum as long as he stops them.

This film really has everything going for it, logical character development, a good plot, great action including blistering fight scenes, and a great superstar cast. My only problem with it is that with the Scarecrow I am unsure as to whether he is a bit of a loser of the coolest villain ever. The actor manages to maintain a great screen presence and the fear gas scenes are truly creepy, which was a bonus though. He was more of a secondary villain though, as Ra’s Al Ghul was the real villain here.

Adam who will probably end up reading this thought it wouldn’t be any good because of some nonsense involving swords or whatever well he is terribly, terribly wrong.

Of course perhaps the best thing is that all signs point to the next film starring my personal hero, The Joker! If you were to ask me my favourite villain ever I would have to say The Joker, his sense of style, his bizarre outlook on life and his downright ruthlessness are what make me love him so. He is like the world’s funniest misanthrope ever. I love you Joker!

The week in which the 7/7 bombings of London was a seriously shitty week and it wasn’t just the explosions and ensuing fear and anger (which I am thankfully over now) that did it for me. This was also the same week that my oldest cousin, Ashley, got into a car crash (she is fine now though apart from a broken pelvic bone that means she needs crutches), which was a messed up thing to hear of, also my brother once again got in trouble with some idiots so I had to bail him out with cash once again, and then the bombings happened.

Also on the same day as the bombings my aunt drove up me, my mum and my youngest cousin, Fiona, to drive up to see where the car Ashley was in crashed. It looked awful, especially in the context of recent events. The people driving past must have though that no one had survived at all (though actually everyone did) as the exhaust was knocked off, glass was everywhere, the people had to be cut off and it had knocked down several street signs. I found it a bit off thinking what people most have thought about the bunch of us hanging around a car crash, especially as we were taking pictures and poking through stuff. My cousin was staring at people morbidly and I was laughing at times at the nonsense that goes on in my head, which must not have helped though, hey, it would be cool if we freaked them out.

Last week I found a leaflet showing activities that were happening in Croydon and one of them was the screening of the German independent film The Edukators. I had wanted to see this when it came out but because it was an obscure film, very few places showed it at the time. To making things even worse the chances of me finding someone to go with me to see an obscure German film with subtitles would of course be very slim. Of all the people I asked only three wanted to guy but in a sick coincidence all of them were busy on those days. I ended up having to go with my mum. However it was an entertaining film that was worth the fuss I had to go through to be able to see it, in a small venue that only holds forty people. The Edukators follows two socially conscious people that wish to change the world and their first step is to try and put doubt and fear into the wealthy. They do this by breaking into wealthy villas and rearranging their stuff, which makes for a funny opening scene when a rich family returns from holiday to see all of their chairs stacked up, their stereo in the fridge and so on, before leaving behind a message like “Your days of plenty are numbered”. However, as is usually the case, a girl, comes along and their plans of idealism are thrown into chaos. It really is a unique and entertaining film, though a little preachy in it’s political statements (which will put off people who really hate communism/anarchism) but it succeeds in being full of emotion. I think that everyone should try and make some effort to see this. I sure did and it paid off.

I have rediscovered the library after going to the book store and wondering if I should buy a book before realising that I could get them for free at the library. So far I have gotten out Fight Club and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I am hoping to get the Catcher in the Rye out soon as it may come up when I do English and American Literature when I go to University.

Coming soon will be the review of the AWESOME REM gig that I went to on Saturday so BRB for REM related antics.

The M stands for Movement.

Rem is a Trigun character...

Just a useless fact for you, the one who lost the bet. Actually i will see sin city and this batman film when i get a chance. When they're out on video i'll check them out ^-^
Your friend's site is interesting. I see you are both promoting each other. Sound business sense that. Although i'd have to say maddox's latest entry makes you seem like some kind of less cool "blogger" *shudders*

That adise, interesting news. I still hate you for getting to go to a totally awesome gig when i couldn't. Still i was on holiday which also ruled so i shouldn't complain too much. As for reading... yes it rules! How could you forget the library!? I visit mine every month!

My livejournal has none of the things mentioned by Maddox in his article, I'm not sure this even qualifies as a blog, looking at what Maddox said. Sure he said that livejournal's aren't worth checking but I have been searching through these archives and he is probably right.

If it makes you feel better think of me as bloggernaut or a bloggersaurus or some gay ass word like that.
